Apples have become increasingly important in my life as my husband LOVES them, but is very particular about which kind. I remember, early in our marriage, finding beautiful apples and returning home very excited to show him only to realize that, once again, I had purchased the wrong kind. I have finally gotten it figured out. Your apple slice made me smile.Kristi Lonheimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16541224246393137201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-319624163132382197.post-19699732612805755942012-03-28T21:51:23.031-06:002012-03-28T21:51:23.031-06:00What a great "slice" the picture is fabu...What a great "slice" the picture is fabulous too. I've done exactly the same things -- eating apple slices with peanut butter for days on end, fed peanuts to the squirrels who actually waited for me at the top of the kitchen bannister every day until I threw out some peanuts for them. And I've watched many squirrels with an apple on a branch just like your photo! Once I threw an apple outside the front door for the deer, and it magically appeared on a tree limb in the back yard. The squirrels were mocking me.

When I first started blogging, I had an Apple Month, where I wrote about folklore and apple books and apple recipes. We used to keep a dried cob of corn on a feeder out back and when we were in-town, we had lots of squirrel visitors to watch, but for some reason out here in the coastal woods, we have none.
