I agree that it's a pretty complex story - my daughter and I had a discussion about the 'transformation' in the end, as we are of two minds about it, she has a different interpretation of it, and I look forward to hear what the other GatheringReaders participants have to say about it on Wednesday when we meet. What I find even more interesting is how she linked it to a play that we have just watched two days back.
