Anticipation Celebration

I celebrate each Saturday with Ruth Ayres at Discover Play Build.  There are many others who celebrate, too. Come join us!          Tweet at #CelebrateLu

With a little humor thrown in:  on my walk today, I imagined
that the rabbit was anticipating that I wouldn't see him at all.
But he did allow the picture!

This post is all about anticipation.  Flaubert said: "Pleasure is found first in anticipation, later in memory."
Before last Wednesday, Imogene (Imi) told a lot of people "my birthday's coming up".  It was even a little tough to stop saying it on that day.
Wednesday, Imogene was four! Ingrid enjoyed the evening
celebration too. Can you see their different personalities?
A party for friends will happen Sunday, anticipating that, too.

I have watched this rose from the tiniest of buds,
to finally its grand opening. The 'daily watch' has
been a source of sweet anticipation for a few weeks.

I love this picture, that you can see the sunset on the camera
while they're watching it, too. My family's on its way back
at the end of this coming week, anticipating another wonderful
time together, same house, same beach, special days before our
lives split away again.

  1. Love the quote - anticipating truly is half the fun. Bunnies, birthdays, blooming roses, and beach time - what a delightful week of anticipating. Enjoy the 4th birthday party and those special days to come with family.

  10. The theme of anticipation was used very cleverly throughout your well crafted post. Don't rabbits crack you up. You can almost hear them saying "you don't see me, you don't see me".
