I celebrate each Saturday with Ruth Ayres at Discover Play Build. There are many others who celebrate, too. Come join us! Tweet at #CelebrateLu
With a little humor thrown in: on my walk today, I imagined that the rabbit was anticipating that I wouldn't see him at all. But he did allow the picture! |
This post is all about anticipation. Flaubert said: "Pleasure is found first in anticipation, later in memory."
Before last Wednesday, Imogene (Imi) told a lot of people "my birthday's coming up". It was even a little tough to stop saying it on that day.
Wednesday, Imogene was four! Ingrid enjoyed the evening celebration too. Can you see their different personalities? A party for friends will happen Sunday, anticipating that, too. |
I have watched this rose from the tiniest of buds, to finally its grand opening. The 'daily watch' has been a source of sweet anticipation for a few weeks. |
Love the quote - anticipating truly is half the fun. Bunnies, birthdays, blooming roses, and beach time - what a delightful week of anticipating. Enjoy the 4th birthday party and those special days to come with family.
ReplyDeleteThanks, you know I will. Much to be happy about!
DeleteWhat sweet photos and captions!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Loralee. It was a very fun week!
DeleteIt's so fun to watch your grandkids grow through your blog posts and pictures. I'll be anticipating posts about your time together!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deb. They are growing up, as I'm sure yours are too. No more babies in the family!
DeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteI love how you showed anticipation through the photos you shared...I also love the quote. Great thinking about how much joy comes from anticipation.
It is true, the anticipation and planning 'before' is lots of fun, too. Thanks, Amy!
DeleteI celebrate with you for birthdays, and sunsets, and time with family! Treasure these memories!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Anne. I do, I will!
DeleteWhat joy! It's all over your grandgirls faces. Love that sunset picture! Really worth a bit of study. Summer memories are so sweet!
ReplyDeleteThanks Julieanne, summertime is a wonderful time, no coats, always outside, lots to celebrate!
DeleteLove seeing these pictures of your sweet girls, especially now that I have met one of them. And the rose- so gorgeous! Have fun at the beach!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carol. Hope things have settled into some routine for you. I know you're working hard with those new teachers now.
DeleteYou used a theme for your post! Love the anticipations of your week and the images.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Margaret. It kind of fell together as I found the celebrations!
DeleteGreat reminder that anticipation is part of the thrill. I love that sunset picture too. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Crystal. I just read about your coming trip to see your grandmother, and I imagine both of you are anticipating that with happiness.
DeleteThe theme of anticipation was used very cleverly throughout your well crafted post. Don't rabbits crack you up. You can almost hear them saying "you don't see me, you don't see me".
ReplyDeleteYes, they are so still. Thanks, Bernadette.
DeleteI love that shot of Imogene and Ingrid, Linda - how marvelous that so much can be captured in one picture. I am thinking of your family and your time at the beach. I remember so well the joyous pictures from last year, and I know that another special time will be had. Enjoy, my friend!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tara. I know we'll have a great time.
DeleteLinda, within your thoughts and photos lay the images of family togetherness and anticipation of all things bright and beautiful. Enjoy life with your family.
