Poetry Friday - Snow and Memories

Poetry Friday, in the season, is with Diane Mayr at Random Noodling. For all of us who have been in  church Christmas pageants or even more challenging, watched our children in them, Diane's poem offers a chuckle from an expectation of seriousness. Thanks Diane, for the gift and for hosting! 





         We had a big snow this week, and of course I took pictures. It was cold, all schools had a snowday, people cursed the unplowed streets. And memories came from the beauty, too.

  4. I love that pristine feeling of newly fallen snow and pressed white linen. White Christmas -- something I could only dream about as a child. Happy Holidays!

    1. And now today, puddles everywhere, well above freezing. We might reach 60 tomorrow! The snow was hard for those having to be at work or helping others, like cleaning the streets and sidewalks, but for the rest of us, it was lovely. Thank you, Irene.   8. Wow, that IS a significant snowfall! And here we are in NH, still waiting. I love your use of brevity - the starkness matches the white of the landscape!

    1. Thanks, Matt, I appreciate the compliment. We got about 10 inches, & more in outlying areas. More than all last winter, at one time at least. And tomorrow it's supposed to be near sixty degrees. Very strange weather, & you in the NE, none. Merry Christmas. I hope the repairs are moving along.
