Celebrating on Sunday

I USUALLY celebrate each Saturday with Ruth Ayres at Discover Play Build - Week number 99! There are many others who celebrate, too. Come join us!

This time, on Sunday, after a day of cleaning up the kitchen with a stopped up sink, and finally, it's all working again. I celebrate the experts who know how to 'fix' things!

Other good things this week include:

I wrote every day, including a poem about 9-11. Somehow this week it became important to me to reflect on this anniversary. You can read the poem on my Friday post if you like. September 11th is also my dear Grandmother Sarah's birthday, so I celebrate her and my other wonderful grandparents today, which is Grandparent's Day. I was so lucky to have them in my life.

I read some wonderful picture books. Here's one I especially loved.

I walked every day, except yesterday, but I walked a lot in the kitchen (te-he). Here's one 'shadow' pic.

Ingrid and I resumed our Friday afternoon visits, with ice cream and dinner at Noodles. Here's the sunset we saw on the way home.

My granddaughters will spend the night with me tonight, and we're off on short trip tomorrow, traveling to Colorado Springs to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. They have the day off from school, so we have time for a day's adventure!

Wishing you all a wonderful week of good "little" moments.

  1. Linda, I love hearing about your adventures with the girls. The little moments count so enjoy every second of them. It is always fun to go to the zoo. Sometimes the animals antics are so funny and you can capture them in the act with a photo.

  2. Linda, I"m glad the kitchen sink is fixed and that you are here to celebrate! You wrote everyday?!?! I'm inspired. I'm going to set a goal to write THREE days this week. I love the pictures of your walks. You are enjoying life and it's great to see. Can't wait to hear more about your trip with your granddaughters!

    1. Remember that I don't have school everyday, Michelle, so I do have more time to write, a habit I want to keep. Good luck with your goal, too. Amidst all the other responsibilities, I think 3 days is a terrific one. I'll certainly share about this adventurous trip! Thank you!

    1. Thank you, I'm glad the grand-girls are so close, too. As for the writing, I find if I don't keep up, I lose being in a good place for writing.
