Poetry Friday - Sinking In

It's Poetry Friday, this day hosted by Margaret Simon at Reflections on the Teche. She's sharing some marvelous "pi-ku" written by her students in response to a nature trip.

Our cold, rainy, snowy few days last week appears to have released the spring magic that is GREEN. I sink into its richness, took one picture that shows some of what I see. Oh, yes, other colors are emerging, but first, GREEN is the star of this spring production.

    1. No, no form that I know of. I just start playing with words to see what I can discover, Margaret. Give it a try sometime! Thanks, and yes, I thought about using all the different names for kinds of greens. That will be fun, too. Thanks!

  7. Linda, I think your celebration of green has brought your exploration to a lyrical level-well done. Reading your poem out loud gave me an extra sense of the joy surrounding earth. After your recent cold, rainy, snowy days, you had reason to rejoice. Isn't it amazing that we both were thinking green this week?
