April - Poetry Month - Day Three - Gift

It's April, Poetry Month, Day Three!

The bookmark, on top of the picture above, came into the bookstore at the end of March. Often people do donate books and leave 'treasures' in them. This time, it became my own treasure and I knew what I would do for April's poetry, write about found treasures, perhaps find new places to look? Happy April!

Plus! Check each day for the added line to the Progressive Poem, created by Irene Latham, now hosted by Margaret Simon! The link is to the right!

My grandchildren are thoughtful and creative. I love being with them and they are growing up so fast. This was a special Christmas gift this past year from the youngest, Imogene, ten. She choose to create this in a pottery class at her school.

  1. Imogene is a very clever artist! Her dish makes me hungry! And her grandma is a very clever poet, to write rhyming poetry! I hope she will get to read this!

  2. A fun little ditty about sweet Imogene. I can't believe she's 10!

  3. Thanks, Carol & Margaret. It was a 'sweet' surprise at Christmas, that she thought of the dish & the sprinkles.
