I wrote about the ordinary earlier this week, and wrote a poem about nothing yesterday. It feels as if I have immersed myself into moments of contemplation these days. It was a good week: time with my grand-girls, time observing and talking with that teacher-to-be, time exercising, time for phone calls from friends and family, and time at home-reading, writing, cleaning. The weather is lovely, and I love being able to be outside walking. I also read a little Thoreau, from a book of selections from his journals. His words, "Time is but the stream I go a-fishing in" fills me with delight. So today I celebrate TIME, just as Thoreau wrote, dipping into that stream and enjoying every minute.
Wishing you time to spend doing what you love, whatever that may be.

I didn't mean to be having Time this week, but an exercise accident made it so. Despite the pain, I have enjoyed justing being: reading, writing, painting. Making the most of it. I can't believe I am your first commenter today. Love your skies.

Time.... I lamented the lack of it this past week. I need to be able to appreciate the busyness of it all sometimes. But I'll continue to wish for a small amount of quiet time, too!

Those words "to go fishing in time" are words to contemplate for some time. They bring up so many different thoughts about fishing in time and what that means: memories, ideas, daydreaming....
Taking time to celebrate and notice the ordinary is what makes life grand. Thank you for the reminder to notice. When things go wrong, isn't the ordinary what we lust for? We need to appreciate how much of ordinary we get.

Time was certainly a celebration this week! Your days of being in the moment are what we aspire to reach. I hate it when time slips away and then have to scramble to catch up. Gorgeous sky picture!
I too, have been celebrating time. Between graduation in December, and this new job, I feel like I have more of it, even though I'm still teaching full time. I love Thoreau's words. I'll be looking for a way to post them near my desk at school. Thank you for sharing them.

Time is a puzzling concept. When you measure distance or weigh the potatoes, you get a constant measurement. You may measure the time with seconds and minutes but it feels different in different circumstances. I appreciate your wish of time.
Sometimes it seems to loom large, sometimes you have to squeeze out the minutes. Great point, Terje.

After a long day at work yesterday, my friends took me out to dinner. And while I enjoyed their company, I was glad for some reason it was still early in the evening when we parted ways. Time is an amazing gift!
