I am excited to read what Susan and others have written, and this week, especially if they're responded to Susan's prompt! I haven't even read Susan's!
I stop somewhere waiting for you
I believe that anywhere with you is grand.
The magic is that elsewhere is also true.
Whereas the stumper makes us continue to search
To discover if wherever will bring the magic
Of everywhere for you?

ReplyDeleteLinda, your poem is one to read and reread. The introduction of the words magic and stumper bring a puzzling ending. This is a very interesting way of using the final line in Whitman's poem. Have a wonderful weekend.

ReplyDeleteLinda, I love how this poem starts so open and forthright: "I believe anywhere with you is grand" but then gets very complex, like a koan, and made me ponder and reflect. Wow! Love "stumper" as it acts like a gorgeous hinge and center! Thank you!

ReplyDeleteLinda, I'm loving all the ways my thoughts go in your poem. I like all the "where" -- anywhere, elsewhere, everywhere, wherever, even whereas. Your poem shows that love is complicated in many good ways. Love is in the air, indeed.
