The
Teaching Authors have posted, I think, for the second year in a
row, the Thanksgiving challenge for the next two weeks to write a “thanku”, either in their comments
or link to them in your own blog post. I
imagine you can guess that a “thanku” is a thank you written in the haiku
form. You can find the link above that explains all about it.
There are numerous ways to be grateful, in special places at special
times. I hold dear my family as you all
know, and friends far and near, but the newest group that help me live my life
are the blogging friends. Friendship is
born out of commonalities and indeed there are friends out there who believe
what I believe about learning and growing and being kind. I write this "thanku" for all of you.

Missing Thanksgiving, but not the opportunity to be grateful.

As the others said, you always seem to have the right words at the right time. I was just thinking how blessed my life has been these last two years since I found this community. You are definitely one of those who has made my world shine a little bit brighter. Thank you.
Thanks, Jackie-I'll come over to see why!
And thank you Deb. It's been quite an amazing time, hasn't it? Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Yes, we have so many friends in this community. I'm always looking forward to Tuesday, and I've even begun thinking already about March coming up and slicing all month...
Thanks for the insightful words you share week after week!
"Slicing words with friends" fills my heart and makes me smile. This is a very special group of caring people offering parts of their life through their words. Thanks for being such a strong voice.
Thank you, too! March will be awesome!
Thanks, Elsie. You are an important voice to me, too!
Thanks so much for participating in our Two Weeks of Thanks-Giving, Linda, and for helping to spread the word about it. I love the image of "slicing" our words together. We at TeachingAuthors are so grateful to be in a community of lovely people like you.
I hope you have a wonderful thanksgiving.
Planning to head over to check out Thanku right after I leave this comment. Thanks for the tip off about it!
Thank you Carmela. It's a lovely tradition you have started!
Terrific, Stacey. It's a fun writing idea & tradition. Some of our classes did it last year with students!
Linda, thank you for your kind words about our community. Tuesdays are blessed because of the time I spend with friends like you. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Thanks Ramona. It is such a special group, for all kinds of living, laughter & tears, support & learning. I'm glad you're staying a part of it.
What a great little grati-ku of thanksgiving! People like you make communities like this sweeter. I always love getting my Linda comments and reading your posts.
A thanku for you:
Communities grow
From a seed like Linda Baie
Sprouts of happiness
Aw-w, Betsy, it makes me blush! We do have such a terrific community, don't we? Be sure to go over to the Authors site & post a thanku (another without my name, please). Thank you very much!
Thanku--what a fun idea! And what could be better than a "thanku" about this amazing, inspiring community? You capture the best things in life with the best words, Linda! I am grateful to have connected with you.
Thank you Christy. I feel the same. I have loved what I'm hearing through Ruth about your classroom. Wish I could see it! Happy Thanksgiving!
Linda, I am always thankful for your posts and comments. You are the most responsible blogger I know. Too many syllables for a thanku - but still heart felt.
Thank you, Amelia, & I love your writing! I hope your long holiday weekend is terrific!
A lovely haiku! You say it so perfectly - the blog world is quite a special community!
may you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Hi Beverley, and thank you! I imagine that you don't celebrate Thanksgiving, but hope you are having a wonderful week!
Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving celebration dearest Linda with family and friends who love you. :)
Thanks Myra-all my family was here & we had a final goodbye at the old house!
