It was a gorgeous weekend of fall weather, so warm we were back to shorts and short sleeves, outside, outside, outside! I walked and took pictures, knowing the time (and leaves) were fleeting, would be floating down soon. Yesterday, a high of 70; today of 35. It's snowing (or freezing rain) tonight. I can hear the tap, tapping on the windows. By Wednesday, the sun and warmer weather will return, but the view will again have changed.

How gorgeous is that?! In Florida we won't see a fall parade of color until after Christmas, even then you have to look for it to find it. Love seeing the rich colors from a far though. It reminds me that there is beauty in change too. Thank you, Linda.

70 to 35 in a day? Ugh! But perhaps this is what gives the trees so much fantastic color? I am not seeing much here in the DC/Maryland area. I am hopeful that it is yet to come! Enjoyed the poem - love that it begins with roots below, hopeful sending...sweet!
Our neighborhoods (and our weather) sound like we could be neighbors! Loved the pictures to accompany the words - together they just gave me something that will last longer than the real thing! :) I will hold onto it until January and February when I will need the reminder of the other kind of beauty. :)

I love the parade but I was stuck on the words "shorts and short sleeves." That says "summer" to me. By now most of the trees have lost their leaves in Estonia and it's mostly rain, rain, rain. The next beauty will come with the first crystal frost in the morning.
In Denver & other 'flatland' places, 60 & up with the sun means shorts/short sleeves-we're just so used to the weather that that kind of dress happens all year, but then we have the winter sometimes too. Much of the snowy freezing stuff happens in the mountains west of us, higher elevation! We wish we had some of your rain!
I love an autumn parade, that it is! It was unseasonably warm here today, 65 degrees. It felt nice but was fleeting as we in store for nasty weather soon too.
I always think that I like spring best, but then fall arrives and the colors are awesome. We've had some cool nights and now rain, but the dogwoods have turned a brilliant, deep red and the few maples we have are turning shades of oranges. I'm looking forward to a few more days/weeks of warm weather.
Wow-I don't think we have many dogwoods here, but the crabapples are pretty-spring & fall. Guess we all know winter is on its way! Thanks Judy!
