Hurrah It's Poetry Friday

Robyn Hood Black is hosting Poetry Friday this week. Visit her and all the others who link up at Life on the Deckle Edge. Today Robyn has Sylvia Vardell and Janet Wong visiting her site, and we've all been invited to the party!

Still writing haiku and haiku-related poems. Mother Nature has rewarded me with a variety of topics, mostly spring flowers, insects, birds, and YES, snow! As I'm typing, the report says :  heavy snow/rain mix, through Friday.
Some of us are sharing on twitter with the hashtag #DigiPoetry, created by Margaret Simon, of Reflections on The Teche. You're welcome to join us. Find the many Poetry Month offerings rounded up by Jama Rattigan at Jama's Alphabet Soup.

    1. Never dull around here! Now this am, it's raining. Don't know if snow will return. The plants need it, but wow! Glad you made it home!

  2. I'm glad I'm only experiencing the snow through your haiku this month. I am glad spring has sprung here in Indiana.

  3. I think old man winter just wants you to write poems about him. He shouldn't muscle in on April's springtime warmth. Like the "insight-inside" thingy. :)

    1. And now, by this afternoon, nearly all of it is melted and the sun returns. All will be very green after this. Thanks, Tabatha.

  5. I can totally relate to these, Linda...we had crocuses popping up a few days ago, then 3 inches of dense wet snow fell on top of 'em!

    1. We can have snow easily until Mother's Day, & April is our 2nd snowiest month. This time, it was lovely, one day, lots of moisture & melted!

  12. Do you usually get this much snow this time of year? I'm enjoying the beauty of spring and hoping snow will remain a distant memory.

    1. I hope no more, but yes, we can get snow for a while longer, Cathy. Just happens, moisture up from the gulf, cold down from Canada. We do need the wet, always wish it was just a rainy day.
