A Tiny Slice--Happens Every Day But One

SOLC # 15

Day Fifteen of the Two Writing Teachers Slice of Life Challenge. I'm also blogging with students at Linda & Jonathan's Class Blog      Tweet at #SOL15
Thanks to Tara, Dana, Anna, Betsy, Beth and Stacey for all you're doing!

I think this might be my shortest slice. I've been writing evaluations all day, conferences are Thursday and Friday. I am tired!

One tiny slice of my life that happens now in my new home is going to get the mail. Getting the mail is always fun. No matter the junk mail, there might be something else exciting, too. My mail is no longer outside my house, but "around" the block in a bank of boxes. I've never done this before, always had my mail right outside my house, but even in the cold, in the evening, sometimes in the dark, I walk to get the mail. In the winter it's rather fun to go out just for a little while, even with snow swirling. In recent evenings, it's still twilight time, birds are murmuring their goodnights, and this is what I see sometimes, a beauty of a sunset.

Wishing everyone a wonderful week of beauty, in your lives and in your writing!
