Time to consider a new one little
word, and to reflect upon the year past with my word, wander. Merriam-Webster states that wander means “to move around or go to different places usually
without having a particular purpose or direction.” Although I have wandered to other places this
year, usually with intent: the All-Write in Indiana (to see and be with online
friends, to learn), to Missouri with daughter and all three grandchildren (road trip to
see my brother and family), and to Pennsylvania to join a poetry group
(writing, writing), I feel that those trips and others closer to home still
mean “wandering”.
