Great Week To Celebrate

I celebrate each Saturday with Ruth Ayres at Discover Play Build and the rest of the wonderful community that celebrates together. Come join us!          Tweet at #CelebrateLu

Discovered the last flowers of summer, or are they?
We have warm weather again in the next few days.
What can be better than Halloween costumes? Oh my, they are so excited. Happy Halloween everyone.

SuperGirl-being serious and strong

So hard to see Imi, but she is happy to be
that whispering Darth Vader

Here's a better picture of Imi, playing in our nearby park, and one of the Halloween decorations we found on our walk. She spent the day with me on Thursday.

One more picture of the beautiful autumn we are having, and snow on the mountains. Winter's coming up high, just not down here on the flat yet.

Finally, I'm celebrating that I did my first shift volunteering at a nearby, favorite used bookstore. I return in a couple of weeks, and then will work weekly. It was fun, challenging to figure out all the processes of the pricing and the credits, etc. But I really loved being there and talking with customers, starting to learn the inventory, etc. More to come!

Hope your weekend is filled with lovely things, Halloween if you celebrate it, and gaining that one hour on Sunday morning!

  2. Adorable Halloween costumes! I love seeing the kids get so excited! I'm glad your adventure at the bookstore was a good one...it sounds like the beginning of an amazing journey! Love the pics of the fall trees and the snow peeking in on the mountain tops. I need to get out there soon. I have a good friend who lives in Fort Collins. I want to visit...soon!!! :)

  3. Gorgeous pictures! You will have to tell me when you are there (if it's not during school hours) and I will walk down and say hello.

  10. My kids always loved Halloween, especially my son. He went trick-or-treating up until the year or two...and he is 19! My first career was in retail management and I LOVED it! I really miss it at Christmas but we didn't have all of the early bird sales like they do now. With you being a people person, I am sure you will enjoy it!

    1. Since it is a used bookstore, I don't think it will be as busy as the usual stores, Leigh Anne. Yes, even now, the kids have been coming, little to big! Hope you're having a fun evening!

  11. Linda, Indian Summer has hit your area too. How splendid to see all of the happenings in Colorado this week. The girls look like they are reading to trick or treat. I hope they had as much fun as I had looking at all of the little ones parade to my door. What a glorious day it to enjoy life.
